Homemade Glade’s White Sauce
For all you people in Spanish Fork, UT, we all know that there is a little place called Glade’s Drive Inn. At Glade’s, they have one great thing that keeps us all coming back, White
sauce!!
It’s good on everything from fries to polar pups! Here is what you need to make your own little version of “White Sauce.”
Homemade Glade’s White Sauce
Ingredients
½ cup of Mayo
¼ cup of buttermilk
directions
Put both ingredients a bowl and whisk until smooth!
We made homemade fries with our white sauce. Just a little suggestion, the bigger you cut your fries the longer they take to cook and I put the stove on medium high otherwise they burn on the outside and aren’t cooked in the middle. Enjoy!!!
YAY! We came to Spanish Fork very summer while I was growing up – back in the 1950's and 60's and this was always a favorite! Then I raised my girls in that area from late 70's and into the 90's… we'd stop in when visiting my Aunt & Uncle in Spanish Fork… this will be a welcome addition to our recipes and will bring back MANY fond memories! Thanks for sharing!
We love it too! Nothing says Spanish Fork like White Sauce!
I moved from Utah to Florida almost 8 years ago. Glades white sauce is the one thing I have really missed! This recipe is pretty darn close to the real deal and will work until I come to visit again! Thank you!!
I thought it had lemon juice in it? Its only 2 ingredients not 3? I use to work there but it was 15 years ago
the lemon juice is in the their tartar sauce. only 2 ingredients
So what’s the tartar sauce recipe? 🙂
Sorry, I can’t remember!
