Easy DIY Gold Dipped Vase Tutorial
My kids love it when I decorate for the holidays, and I love that they get so excited. But, honestly, I’m a cheap skate. I hate spending money on decorations that will only be used for a couple weeks. So, I dug through my kitchen cabinets and found a vase that I hadn’t used in years, Rustoleum Gold Spray Paint, and dollar store flowers, and I made a some CHEAP decorations.
I think I spent 5 dollars, because I already had the gold spray paint in the garage (You can Buy it here). The key with this DIY is good painters tape and an old grocery shopping bag. I just made sure the first piece of tape was straight, then I super scientifically (wink, wink) shoved a bag on the top and made sure there were no openings for the paint to get into.
Then I flipped that baby over and put two coats of gold spray paint on it.
And Voila! Rip the tape off and you have a vase that can be used for more than one holiday, or every day use! Just trade out the flowers! I love it, it was so easy, so now I want to dig out more old vases to paint!!
