Red Velvet Cream Cheese Bars
These Red Velvet Cream Cheese Bars are red velvet lovers dream come true! They’re perfect for sharing and you’ll leave everyone more!
A few weeks ago, we had a “red” party for our personal progress night at church. Of course, that means you have to have a “red” treat!
You can always see what treats are a hit and the ones that aren’t by if the girls ask for another one. This was a big hit! If you still wondering what you want to take to that Easter egg BBQ, stop wondering, this is what you should take!

CREAM CHEESE LAYER:
8-oz. cream cheese softened
5 tbsp. butter softened
1 cup of sugar
2 eggs
½ cup flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
RED VELVET BROWNIE LAYER:
1 Red Velvet cake mix
1 egg
⅓ cup of water
⅓ cup vegetable oil
12-oz. bag chocolate chips
Red Velvet Cream Cheese Bars
Instructions
CREAM CHEESE LAYER:
- Mix cream cheese and butter until it’s light and fluffy, then add sugar, eggs, flour, and vanilla. Set aside.
RED VELVET BROWNIE LAYER:
- Mix red velvet cake mix, egg, water, and oil. Stir in chocolate chips. The dough will be thick.
- Spray a 9×13 baking pan with cooking spray and spread half of the cream cheese mixture in the bottom of the pan. Make sure to completely cover the bottom of the pan.
- Then spread half of the red velvet brownie mixture over top of the cream cheese mixture. It won’t spread evenly, but you can dollop it onto the mixture and move it around slightly to cover the surface the best you can.
- Pour and spread the remaining cream cheese mixture over top of the red velvet brownie layer, and then the remaining red velvet brownie mix. Using a knife swirl through all layers.
- Don’t overdo it, but make sure you swirl the batter in 2 or 3-inch swirls throughout the pan.
- Bake at 350° for about 40-45 minutes. Be sure the mixture is set in the middle. Cook additional 5 or 10 minutes if necessary, depending on the heat of your oven.
