Rustic Pumpkin Stand for Guest Supplies!
Rustic Pumpkin Stand for Guest Supplies
Oh how I love Fall! I can feel it in the air already! The leaves are starting to change high in the mountains, and the air seems a little more crisp! It’s getting me in the Fall decorating mood! That’s why I just love this cute little Rustic Pumpkin Stand I made with help from The Home Depot.
The Home Depot offers Workshops at all of their locations for do-it-yourselfers of all ages and experience levels, and believe me, I’m a beginner when it comes to using power tools on my own, so you don’t have to worry about not having enough experience.
There are three types of Workshops offered – Do-It-Yourself (DIY), Do-It-Herself (DIH) and Kids. Customers can learn how to build décor projects, how to make easy home repairs and how to operate tools through demonstrations and step-by-step instructions. Visit http://workshops.homedepot.com to learn more.
I painted mine with white and charcoal chalk paint. Then I added some black chalk paint to the front and used a chalk marker to write “welcome!”
We live about 3-4 hours from the majority of our families, so we have a lot of guests that stay over night when they visit. Which is perfect, because it means more time for catching up and bonding. I put this Rustic Pumpkin Stand in my guest bathroom, so that my guests will feel welcome when they arrive.
I filled my Rustic Pumpkin Stand with a magazine, water bottles, gum, chap stick, granola bars, hand towels, lotion, spa face masks, bubble bath, lotion, and a new candle. That way they feel like they’re being pampered when they arrive. Of course, you can tailor yours to what your guest will like. Not every visitor will love a face mask, but I knew mine would!
The great thing about this project is that it is fairly inexpensive to make, and it only took about an hour to complete, not counting paint drying time! Want to make your own? I know you do! You’re in luck, because this is just one of many projects you can learn how to make with The Home Depot’s Workshops. Here are some more Rustic Pumpkin Stand ideas! Check out all of these blogs for inspiration on how to use your pumpkin in your home!
Your pumpkin looks great the way you shaped it with one side taller than the other. Just that little adjustment makes your pumpkin completely unique!
