Mason Jar Ice Cream
Mason Jar Ice Cream! We started the Summer Bucket List Challenge last week and this would be a great thing to add to your list. When you make Mason Jar Ice Cream each family member can make their own without anyone complaining! The best thing is that you don’t need an ice cream maker or even special tools. All you need is a mason jar and 4 ingredients!
I don’t know where you live but here in Utah, it’s been pretty hot! We don’t usually reach 90-degree weather until July! All I can say about that is that it’s time for ice cream!
- 1 c. heavy cream
- 1 1/2 tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- Optional: Add Ins to Make it Your Own!
- Pour cream, sugar, vanilla and salt into a mason jar and secure tightly with a lid. Shake the mason jar until the cream thickens and almost doubles in size, 4 to 5 minutes. It should be opaque and easily coat the back of a wooden spoon. Add strawberries, Oreo's or whatever you need to make it your own! Shake it to add!
- Freeze for 3 hours, or until hardened.

These look amazing. I reckon I’ll make these with my son.
Such a good idea. It sounds like it would be fun for my grandchildren to help make this. Thank you for sharing at Inspire Me Monday.
Can you make this using something other than a mason jar?
yes! you can use a plastic cup as well. It just needs a lid
