Kansas City Style BBQ Sauce
Kansas City Style BBQ Sauce! It’s been a BBQ week! I love every minute of it! This is my new most favorite BBQ sauce! Kansas City Style BBQ sauce is the only BBQ sauce for me.
I’ve made this five times now, so I am definitely getting the hang of it. It’s my most favorite thing in the world. On the weekend we love to smoke anything.
We are trying new things all the time, but the BBQ sauce is a staple that we can’t change. Give this recipe a try, you definitely won’t be disappointed.
Kansas City Style BBQ Sauce
Ingredients
- 14 oz. can crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/3 cup molasses
- 1 Tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 Tablespoon salt
- 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
Directions

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Whisk to combine. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat to a simmer. Simmer for 30 minutes. Allow to cool completely before transferring to an air tight container.

Refrigerate for 24 hours for the best flavor. Will last up to 4 weeks in an airtight container.
