Christmas Advent Calendar
I know I’m a day late, but this is a fun cute Christmas Advent Calendar that you can easily make at home.
When I was little we had a Christmas Count Down chain every year and my mom was so creative. I remember just loving it! A treat every day and counting down to Christmas, what could be better than that.
We never had Elf on a Shelf, so I don’t know what that would be like. I kind of dreading when Grey asks for it. I hope it stops being a thing. Anyways, this is a fun easy way to help your kids count down to Christmas!
The first thing I did was go to Amazon and buy the cute plastic vending machine toy cases. They were $12 for 200, yeah I know it seems like a lot of plastic balls, but I figure I can save them and reuse them next year, and then as we have more kids then we will need to use more. They also could break or Grey thinks their “dinosaur eggs” or easter eggs.
Next, I went to Walmart to get a ribbon and kisses. Honestly, when I got the balls they were smaller than I thought they would be but they ended up being a perfect size. We got kisses and hugs and they fit perfectly.
I already had the jute at my house, so I tied all the little bows and filled the plastic bubbles with a kiss or hug and hot glued them to the jute, and put a bow on top of each one!
Grey absolutely loves it! He’s so excited to eat all the treats he says! Becoming an adult can make Christmas quite boring.
My mom always made Christmas so magical and I know I want that for my kids. Seeing your kids light up for all the Christmas things, nothing beats it! I want to keep up my Mom’s traditions and maybe be close to as magical.

Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year! I love all of the festivities and the spirit of giving that takes place. I love giving (and let’s be honest, getting) presents, but I also really love that Christmas is a time to remember Christ.
I was lucky enough to grow up in a house with a wonderful Mom who not only spoiled us on Christmas but made sure we had plenty of opportunities to reflect on the wondrous birth of the Christ Child during the Christmas Season. Christ is the true meaning of Christmas, and I know that when He is the center of your celebrations Christmas is much more meaningful, joyful, and miraculous. That is why I wanted to share some of my favorite Christ-centered traditions.
Such a great idea! Being a day late…doesn’t that just mean someone gets an extra??? Sound perfect I think! Very cute and so easy. Have a great weekend!
I love how you think!
