Crispy Baked Carrot Fries
Best way to get your toddler to eat veggies, tell them everything is fries. Crispy baked carrot fries work every single time.
I personally love crispy baked carrots, we call everything fries now. Grey doesn’t even like fries but if I cut something up like fries, he’ll eat them.
We’ve had quesadilla fries, pancake fries, and now carrot fries. We call asparagus fries and Grey will eat it. Trust me, it works. These crispy baked carrot fries are awesome!
Ingredients
- 1 pound large carrots
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- Chopped parsley
Directions
-
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Cut carrots into thin sticks and combine in a large bowl with oil, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until browned in spots and crisp, flipping halfway through. Toss the hot carrot fries with chopped parsley and extra salt, if desired. Serve warm with dip.
