TIPS AND TRICKS
Slow cooker: This can be made in your slow cooker. Make sure you are using a 8 quart or larger to fit this recipe. You can cut the recipe in half if you have a smaller crockpot. To make it in the slow cooker, add all the ingredients, cover, and cook on high for 4 to 6 hours or on low for 8 to 10 hours.
Storage: The chili will stay good in the fridge for up to 3 to 4 days. It also makes a perfect freezer meal. Just make sure to put it in a air tight container.
Stir: Make sure to stir the chili frequently so it won’t stick to the bottom of the pan.
Simmer baby: This recipe is meant to simmer and not boil. Simmering will cause small bubbles and not rapid, large bubbles.
Spice it up: If you want to spice it up a little, just add a little chopped up jalapenos or red pepper flakes.
Too Thick: If it’s a little too thick for your liking, add a cup of tomato juice to thin it out.
