Crockpot BBQ Pulled Pork
Crockpot BBQ Pulled Pork is the way to get Pulled Pork when it’s too cold to smoke.
Some may say it’s never too cold to smoke. Well it’s been like 2 degrees in Utah and I beg to differ. No one should be stepping foot outside in that. This is the best way to get your Pulled Pork fix without freezing your butt off. The sandwich was yummy and a good substitute for the real deal!
Ingredients
- 3 pound boneless pork shoulder
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- ½ cup BBQ sauce
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- ¼ cup chicken broth
Directions
-
Rub pork shoulder with seasoning and place in slow cooker.
-
Mix together bbq sauce, vinegar and broth and add to slow cooker.
-
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 5 hours until pork reaches internal temperature of 205 degrees.
-
Remove pork and shred.
-
Add about ¼ – ½ cup of the juices back to pork and discard the rest.
-
Add additional BBQ sauce.
