Easy Carpet Stain Remover
Alright, so we are redoing my little sister Lisa’s room, super cute. Well she is now 10 years old and super “organized,” she will completely organize and rearrange her room at least once a week. Which I am sure is a little frustrating for Momma Kim, but I just think she’s absolutely adorable.
Well, in her younger years she has been known to do a few things in that room that were not completely appreciated, for example: bug homes, experiments (always with multiple cups of different colored water, which we are not fully sure what caused the other colors), and much much more.
She had a few pink stains on various parts of her carpet and she just thought that it was so dirty. Even though the carpet was clean. So I did a little research and this is what I found.
Things you’ll need:
Cheap white wash cloths (we got ours at Walmart)
Windex
An Iron
directions
First, you will want to saturate the carpet stain with Windex then place the white rag on the carpet and let the iron sit on the spot for 10 seconds at a time. The reason you want to use a white rag is because it soaks up the color, if you have a colored rag it will transfer the color to the carpet, which would completely defeat the purpose. Keep repeating the process until the stain is gone, we did burn our rag a little but it worked really well. If you want to keep the rag just wash it in bleach and it will turn white once again.
It looks like you found a workable fix to the problem, thank goodness. Thanks for the tip. (It's not really a post for Sunlit Sunday, but you're welcome to join in another time)
Have a lovely week.
