Fresh Strawberry Lemonade

Easy Fresh Strawberry Lemonade screams Summer! It’s plum full of fresh strawberries and zesty lemons. It’s so delicious that your family and friends will be begging for some more!

There are a few flavors that when you think of them, you think summer. Strawberry and lemonade top the list! I can just imagine all of you with a tall glass of lemonade, swinging on your porch swing, like in the movies! Okay, I’m not that fancy and it’s good that you don’t have to be fancy to enjoy this. It does sound fun, right?

My girls love Strawberry Lemonade! Every time we go out for dinner at a restaurant, they order strawberry lemonade. Not to knock the lemonade at the restaurants but homemade is always better! The strawberry and lemon flavors will make your taste buds sing!

Fresh Strawberry Lemonade

Ingredients

1/2 pound fresh strawberries, stems removed
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
4 1/2-5 cups water
1 1/2 cups fresh-squeezed lemon juice

Instructions

- Use a blender or food processor to puree the strawberries.
- In a small saucepan, over medium heat, stir together sugar and 2 cups water.
- Bring to a boil, and stir until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature.
- Strain the lemon juice through a fine-mesh sieve into a 2-quart pitcher. Add simple syrup and pureed strawberries and stir to combine. Refrigerate until cold.
- When ready to serve, add 2 1/2 cups of cold water and stir. Taste, and add more water if it’s too sweet.
- Serve with ice.
