Instant Pot Honey Baked Ham
Want a quick and delicious main course? Instant Pot Honey Baked Ham is the way to go!
Being pregnant and hungry I am craving the most random things. This baby likes all the salty things. Sometimes I’m just not in the mood to cook dinner, but I want something delicious and homey. It’s really a conundrum.
My kids like ham and I never make it, but they had ham at Costco the other day and I couldn’t resist. The funny thing is my oven went out a couple nights ago so we have this ham that I needed to cook, instant pot was an easy solution. Matthew thinks I’m crazy! This recipe was awesome!
Instant Pot Honey Baked Ham
Ingredients
- 3 to 5 pound Spiral sliced Ham
- 3/4 cup pineapple juice
- 2/3 cup honey
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
Instant Pot Honey Baked Ham
Directions
- Place bowl inside the inner pot of the pressure cooker. Pour in 1 and ½ cups cold water. Place foil sling on bowl–this will help you remove ham after it has finished cooking.
- Prepare glaze by whisking together pineapple juice, honey and brown sugar.
-
Place ham on large sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil. Fold up sides of foil, to make a bowl like shape around the ham. Gently separate slices of spiral ham, so glaze can penetrate the ham slices. Pour glaze over ham and securely wrap foil around ham. Place ham on trivet inside pressure cooker. Secure foil sling around ham, if using.
-
Pressure Cook on High for 2 minutes per pound plus 10 minutes to account for the foil. Once cook time has elapsed, let rest for at least 15 minutes before releasing pressure. Check the internal temperature to be sure the ham is warmed to 135-150 degrees. If not, cook for an additional 3-5 minutes on high pressure.
