Nacho Fries
This is my take on Nacho Fries, and they are crispy and flavorful!
We love the nacho fries from Taco Bell, these are NOT a copycat because to be honest I haven’t been able to figure out what they do. However, I do really like the combination of the seasonings on these fries.
We love to dip them in queso and also make nachos out of them. Matt is weird and when we go to R&R and get the nachos he makes them replace the chips with the fries instead. They always give him a weird look but they always do it. Life hack for you. Anyways, these were really good and I recommend giving them a try!
Ingredients
- 2 russet potatoes, cut into fries
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons cattleman’s Mexicano seasoning
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons cheddar cheese powder
- pepper to taste
Directions
- Preheat the air fryer 400 degrees.
- Meanwhile, wash and cut your potatoes into shape, about 1/2 inch. Then Throw them into an ice bath and let them sit for about 10 minutes in the ice water.
- Then pull them out and set them on a towel to dry and pat dry.
- Next, in a bowl toss them in the cornstarch powder and then drizzle on the olive oil and toss again. Put in the remaining seasonings and toss and mix to coat all the fries.
- Put the fries in the heated air fryer until they are golden brown. Mine took about 15 minutes. At 8 minutes I opened the air fryer and stirred them to make sure all the sides were browned.
