DIY Mountain Modern Handrails
To go with our “mountain modern” theme Ben created these handrails because before they were just white wooden ones. I was skeptical at first but I love how they turned out! They add a really cool feel to the house and texture. As far as being functional they’re actually the perfect size to grab onto too!
They were pretty simple to make actually. First he pulled the old ones off the wall but left the parts that held up the rail.
Next he cut and welded together the steel pieces to create the length and width we needed.
Finally he screwed the metal to the old pieces using self-tapping screws and wala! Awesome rails that go so well with our barn doors and baby gate!
Lil Kid loves them!!

The rail is fantastic and different and interesting.
I am still amazed by the safety door and I like how well the rail coordinates with the barn door!
