Angel Chicken
A delicious chicken recipe that is sure to please every family member and special enough when entertaining guests.
I love a good chicken recipe! This one is so easy! You can throw this in the oven and finish up homework with your kids. The sauce is addicting. I couldn’t keep my fingers out of it.
This would pair so well with a fresh green salad, steamed veggies and a piece of buttery garlic bread. Can you imagine dipping the bread in the sauce? So good!
TIPS AND TRICKS
CHICKEN: Chicken breasts or thighs will both work in this dish. I used breasts this time but I think I would prefer thighs in the future. I just love a good, juicy thigh.
FROZEN: If all you have is frozen chicken, that’s fine, but you will have to increase cooking time to make up for it being frozen.
ITALIAN DRESSING MIX: This calls for the dried Italian dressing mix and not the Italian seasoning spice. Trust me, it makes a difference. You can find the dried dressing mix, right by the bottles of salad dressing.
VEGGIES: Wanting veggies? Go ahead and throw in your favorites. It will take it up a level! I would suggest, broccoli, peas, corn, or even mushrooms.
PASTA: The dish is named because of the pasta I used. but go ahead and use what pasta you have on hand. You can also top mashed potatoes, or rice with the chicken mixture.
STORAGE: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. It should stay good up to 4 days. You can freeze this meals too. It will stay good up to 3 months.
Angel Chicken

Ingredients
- 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
- ¼ cup butter
- 1 (.7 ounce) package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1 (16 ounce) package angel hair pasta, cook according to package
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Arrange chicken breasts in a single layer in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Stir in dressing mix, then stir in condensed soup and wine. Add cream cheese; cook and stir, without boiling, until smooth and heated through. Pour over chicken.
- Bake in the preheated oven until chicken is no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, about 1 hour. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
- About 15 minutes before the chicken is finished, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a rolling boil. Add angel hair pasta and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, 4 to 5 minutes. Drain.
- Serve chicken and sauce over pasta.
