Every day seems to be so busy lately! Now it’s the holidays and the crazy begins! I don’t know about you but right now I want something that I can throw together that tastes amazing! This really is the answer, my friend!
This little dish is also a great solution for a make ahead dish or even as a freezer meal. Man, it’s the solution to so many problems!
TIPS AND TRICKS
PROTEIN: If hamburger isn’t your jam, swap it out with chicken, turkey or big chunks of roast.
VEGGIES: Try hiding a few veggies in the mix. You could add baby spinach, or little chunks of zucchini.
SAUCE: To jazz it up a little, add a cup of alfredo sauce to your marinara, to give it a creamier texture.
STORAGE: This will keep up to 3 to4 days in the fridge, if covered tightly. You can also freeze it up to 3 months.
Beef and Tortellini Bake

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 to 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jar marinara sauce - I use Prego
- 1 package frozen cheese tortellini
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- - Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In a large skillet, heat and add the onion and garlic, cooking until soft.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Break up the hamburger.
- Stir in the marinara sauce and let simmer for a few minutes.
- Cook the tortellini according to package instructions, then mix with the beef mixture.
- Transfer half the mixture to a casserole dish, top with half of the mozzarella cheese, and then add the rest of the tortellini mixture and top with the rest of the cheese. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- 7. Serve hot and enjoy!
