I love cookies! I believe that cookies are my favorite dessert! We have been baking so many cookies this week. It was Miss 22 year old’s birthday and her favorites dessert is cookies too! She convince her dad to make sugar cookies but she also loves chocolate chip cookies! Don’t worry, she didn’t eat them all at once! lol! I have decided that I’m going to freeze part of them, so I can have a delicious treat later!
We have posted a few chocolate chip cookie recipes in the past and all of them are yummy but a little twist to each recipe. What makes this one different? The size, cold butter, and I used cake flour. Yes, it makes a difference!
TIPS AND TRICKS
FLAT COOKIES? There are three important things that can cause a flat cookie.
1. The temperature of your butter
2. Not enough flour
3. Not baking long enough.
If the batter is too sticky, you probably need a little more flour. Baking time a lot of times depends on your oven. You can do a tester cookie to check the cooking time.
FREEZE COOKIE DOUGH? You can! You can make balls of batter and freeze them on a cookie sheet and then place them in a Ziploc bag and use them when you are craving a cookie. Please remember to thaw the balls before baking.
STORAGE: Place cookies in an airtight container for up to 3 to 4 days. You can freeze the cookies too, and they will last up to 3 months.
