Charcuterie Cups
I love cute!!! I learned a few years ago that people love things in individual containers, and it makes simple things feel so fancy! It’s not just cute but it is really functional at parties because they are easy to grab and you know exactly how many servings you have!
My husband’s family had their annual bingo party and this is what I decided to take!
At first, I looked on Etsy to find the fun cups and fancy toothpicks but the cost was a little pricey. I found the same thing on Amazon and it came with the cups and toothpicks for a cheaper price!
I got a lot of my cheeses, fruit, tomatoes, at Costco. They also had the meat rolls with cheese all made at Costco.
I prepared the different variety of toothpicks a couple of hours before the party and placed them in the fridge covered with foil. I didn’t want them to dry out. I did put the nuts and breadstick in prior.
I assembled them about an half hour before the party. It only took minutes
Most grocery stores have bags of cheese already cubed. If you have time, please go ahead and cube your own.
I put a wrapped chocolate in front of my breadstick so the juices from the fruit and tomatoes wouldn’t soften the breadstick.
I used sprigs of rosemary just to give the cups a pop of color! You could use any fresh herb or even a small flower.
Charcuterie Cups
Ingredients
- 16 ounces assorted cheeses
- 24 slices/pieces cured meats
- 1 cup mixed berries
- 1/2 cup grape tomatoes
- wrapped chocolates
- 1 cup nuts
- 16 long thin crackers
- 8 pieces fresh herbs
Instructions
Start by filling your containers with smaller items like nuts , distributing them evenly. (If you wanted to use a dip instead, you could add that here.)
Tuck the crackers and wrapped chocolate towards the back of the container, leaving some space in the front for the toothpick-skewered items.
Using toothpicks, skewer a variety of ingredients such as cheeses, meats, tomatoes, berries, and other desired items.
Insert the toothpick-skewered items into the container, varying their heights and colors to create visual interest.
Fill in any remaining gaps in the container with extra ingredients to hold everything securely in place.
For an added touch, garnish the charcuterie cup with a sprig of fresh herbs.
