Chicken Pillows Recipe
Chicken Pillows, super delicious comfort food that everyone in your family will love. Crescent rolls stuffed with creamy chicken filling, rolled in cheese and breadcrumbs, and topped with creamy chicken gravy!
I have always LOVED chicken pillows! My mom used to make them when we were little. Then I got married and found out my husband loved them too, except his mom made them different than my mom did.
So, to keep everyone happy, and feeling nostalgic, we switched up the recipe to combine the best of both worlds!
We made these a few Sunday’s ago, and the kids even loved them. Of course, they’re not healthy, so the kids were bound to enjoy them! Haha!
- 1 pkg of Crescent Rolls
- 1 12 1/2 oz can of chicken
- 4 oz of cream cheese (room temp)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup Panko bread crumbs
- 1 T. parsley
- 1 small can of Cream of Chicken soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- juice of 1 small lemon
- 1 cup of milk
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine chicken, cream cheese, garlic salt, sour cream and green onions.
- Place 2 T of filling in each Crescent roll and roll it up while pinching the sides to prevent filling from coming out.
- Combine Parmesan cheese, Panko, and parsley in a bowl. Brush each roll with melted butter, then sprinkle cheese mixture on top of stuffed rolls.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 17 minutes or until golden brown.
- While rolls are baking, combine soup, sour cream, lemon juice and milk in a saucepan and heat until hot.
- Pour gravy on hot Chicken Pillows and serve!
