Chocolate Stuffed Cookie Dough Cookies? Are you for REAL right now? Well yes friends, I am. These chocolate chip cookies are thick and crazy gooey on the inside.
I love making new treats when I’m doing a Personal Progress Activity. I don’t know about your family but my girls LOVE anything cookie dough, and when the girls at Young Women’s found out the treat involved cookie dough, I had happy girls!!
This recipe is so delicious and so rich, you will love it. Simple to make but will be a show stopper.
Chocolate Stuffed Cookie Dough Cookies
Ingredients:
Cookies:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 shortening
2 eggs
2 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup cocoa powder
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
Cookie Dough Filling:
1/2 cup butter, softened
2/3 cup of brown sugar
2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
2 Tablespoons milk
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Chocolate Stuffed Cookie Dough Cookies
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line your cookie sheets with parchment paper, or spray with non-stick spray.
- Combine butter, shortening, and sugar, until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating after each egg. Add vanilla and mix well.
- Combine cocoa powder, flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and baking powder in a separate bowl and then add to the butter mixture. Mix well.
- Scoop cookie dough and roll the dough into balls with your hands. Press down gently and lay cookies onto the sheet, about an inch apart.
- Bake for 8 to 9 minutes and cool completely.
- Cookie Dough: Beat butter and sugar together for a couple of minutes, until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and milk, mix well.
- Mix in the flour and fold in the chocolate chips.
- Make sure the cookies are cooled before adding the filling and making them sandwiches.
