Crockpot 3 Bean Chili
I love this recipe! With school starting this week, I need recipes that I can do quickly. They also have to be delicious or my family won’t eat it and that defeats the purpose of cooking from scratch!
You can make it the night before and turn it on in the morning. You play with the ingredients and substitute the beef for turkey or leave all the meat out and go vegan!
Crockpot 3 Bean Chili
Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 (16 ounce) can diced tomatoes
2 (16ounce) cans tomato sauce
1 can kidney beans, not drained
1 can great northern beans, not drained
1 can black beans, not drained
1 can sweet kernel corn, drained
3 Tablespoons chili powder
Directions:
- Brown the ground beef, onion and garlic on a medium heat until cooked thoroughly. Seasoned with salt and pepper to taste.
- Drain any fat on meat. We use a colander to achieve that step. Transfer to the crock pot.
- Add the beans, corn, tomatoes, tomato sauce and chili powder. Mix well.
- Cook on low 6-8 hours.
My family loves to eat this with Tortilla Chips, onions and cheese! I don’t have leftovers for long, when I make this chili. Even the neighbor kids love this chili!
