Delicious Pizza Bread
Delicious Pizza Bread! Every Friday night, my daughter wants to get pizza for dinner. It feels right because it’s the beginning of the weekend and we have been so busy! We are at the point now that the sound of take-out pizza sounds disgusting because we have had it too much.
I always believe that homemade is better but sometimes you just don’t have enough time. This Delicious Pizza Bread doesn’t take too much time because it’s semi-homemade, but boy, can you taste the difference!
This is a great family project! Everyone can help with their favorite toppings.
- 1 (16-ounce) tube refrigerated biscuits
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan
- 1/4 cup mini ham or pepperoni
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- FOR THE GARLIC BUTTER TOPPING
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 1 to 2 cloves minced garlic
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly oil a large oven-proof skillet or coat with nonstick spray.
- To make the garlic butter topping, whisk together butter, parsley, and garlic in a small bowl; set aside.
- Cut each of the 8 biscuits into fourths, making 32 pieces. Spread biscuits in a single layer onto the prepared skillet. Brush with garlic butter topping, and sprinkle 2 Tablespoons Parmesan on top.
- Top with pizza sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan and ham or pepperonis.
- Place into oven and bake until the cheese has melted, about 16-20 minutes.
- Serve immediately, garnished with parsley, if desired.
