DIY Grout Cleaner
Yep, I’m pregnant and hadn’t cleaned my bathroom for like… we’ll just say ever. The grout had actually never been cleaned since we moved in (don’t judge) so when I finally got over morning sickness and cleaned the bathroom I decided it was time. I tried this mixture and it actually worked pretty well.
DIY Grout Cleaner
INGREDIENTS:
7 cups water
1/2 cup baking soda
1/3 cup ammonia
1/4 cup vinegar
Mix well, put into a spray bottle and spray area. Wait an hour, then brush clear! (I used a bristle brush)
BONUS TIP: Because my tiles are white I also used some Comet bleach after all the scrubbing and it got rid of most of the deep stained areas (not pictured).
Most of my house is grout and its starting to stain in some areas. I will have to try this for sure. Thanks for sharing and pinning in my cleaning board
Good job! Looks great!
Wow what a difference! That looks great. Thanks for linking up your tip to Snickerdoodle Sunday!
I have some nasty grout in the family bathroom. I might have to give this a try. When I redid the guest bathroom I did white subways with dark grey grout so it wouldn't look nasty LOL. It could still probably use a good clean.
