DIY Hanging Gutter Planter

I’m so excited about this DIY Hanging Gutter Planter I’ve been working on for The Home Depot #DIHWorkshop! It’s such a fun DIY project that literally ANYONE can do. It’s getting me so excited for the warm Spring days that are ahead of us, and the HOT Summer!

Isn’t it cute?! Just think of the possibilities for this project in your own home! You could fill it with sidewalk chalk in cute containers, or put magazines or books in it if it’s not quite warm enough for flowers in your area. I tested it, and my small mason jars fit perfectly in the gutters, so this would also be perfect for a drink holder in the summer, or to grow herbs in! The possibilities are endless!

I can’t wait to show you what mine looks like next week on Monday, April 11th! We’re going to have a Virtual party right here at Lou Lou Girls at 1 PM! I’ll show you what materials you need and basic details about how to make your own! Plus you’ll get to see the makeover my whole front porch got!!

I love The Home Depot, it’s literally 1 mile from my home and I take my kids there when I need a little inspiration. We also love that they offer workshops at all of their locations for do-it-yourselfers of all ages and experience levels. The kids love the free projects that they offer, and I love it because it gives us something to do as a family without all the mess at home! Plus, our local Home Depot provides popcorn on Saturdays and a balloon lady that makes the kids special balloons. We all have a great time there! For reals, YO!

There are three types of Workshops that The Home Depot offers – Do-It-Yourself (DIY), Do-It-Herself (DIH) and Kids. They’ll show you how to build décor projects, how to make easy home repairs and how to operate tools through demonstrations and step-by-step instructions.
