This sign has made me super excited for Saint Patrick’s Day!!! It was so easy to make but boy, does it make a statement on your front porch. It just makes me smile!!
I sprayed painted the board that I already had at my house, I always use Krylon spray paint on my craft projects. Let it dry completely before you move on to your next step.
I looked in several craft stores for large lettering stencils and I wasn’t successful. I decided to look on Pinterest and “YES” I was able to find the perfect lettering. Thank you Shanty 2 Chic for posting these letters. http://www.shanty-2-chic.com/2013/03/free-printable-letters-numbers.html.
I found my shamrock on Google Image, under free clipart.
Print them on card stock, so your pattern will be a little more stable and then find a razor blade to cut out the letters. I used painters tape to secure them to my board.
Choose the color you would like your letters and use a sponge brush to dab the paint. At least for me, when I try to brush the paint on, it gets under the stencil. If that happens, use a Sharpie to make your lines cleaner.
Taa Daa, you have a super cute sign for your porch!!!
