Garlic Fried Gnocchi
Who knew that one pan and a few ingredients could make something so good! This super simple dinner will come together in less than 20 minutes!
I have been on a gnocchi kick for the past couple of months! I guess it’s been my comfort food!
These little babies can be transformed into so many satisfying dishes in only minutes. Gnocchi is great in soup, casseroles and does well as the star!
You will be surprised how just frying them can change the way you look at gnocchi!
TIPS AND TRICKS
REHEAT? Yes you can! Since you have fried it in oil, they won’t stick together. You can preheat the pan and toss it for a few minutes. When you microwave gnocchi it tends to get chewy.
VARIATIONS: This recipe is a simple but satisfying dish. If you want to jazz it up a little, add a protein or some delicious veggies.
SPICE IT UP: Add a little red pepper flakes to give it a little kick!
GIVE IT A SQUEEZE: To brighten up the flavors, squeeze a little lemon juice to your dish.
Garlic Fried Gnocchi
Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 pound potato gnocchi ( cook according to package instructions)
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 to 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese shredded
Instructions
After boiling your gnocchi, in a skillet over a medium high heat add the olive oil. Add in the gnocchi and fry until golden for a few minutes until golden and crisp. Remove the gnocchi from the skillet and set aside.
Add the butter to the skillet. Whisk until it starts to froth turns brown.
Remove from the heat and add the garlic and Italian seasoning. Add the gnocchi back to the butter and toss. Top with parmesan cheese.
