Giant Bubble Wand
Making a giant bubble wand is the easiest thing in the world, and all you really need are a few sticks and some string!
Lisa’s birthday is December 4th, and she is super spoiled since she is the baby of the family. We live in Utah and usually, we would have tons of snow on the ground but not this year!
Yes, my daughter is outside, barefooted in December! Zac, my oldest son, wanted to make something for Lisa that she would never forget and he did!
Lisa was thrilled with her giant bubble maker and even said it was one of her favorite birthday presents! This is perfect for kids of all ages!
I know a lot of states have snow right now but I thought it would be great to start thinking of spring activities and put our minds in a happy place!

Wand Items Needed:
2 wood dowels, 3 feet in length
1 1 inch washer
12 feet cotton piping cord
Cut into two lengths, one 8 feet, and one 4 feet
Bubble Recipe:
12 cups water
1 cup dish soap
2 Tablespoons baking powder

- Place ingredients in a clean bowl or bucket. Stir gently, do not create bubbles. Let sit for about an hour or more. This will make the best bubbles!
This is what the bubble wand stick looks like. Notice the washer is at the bottom of the string this helps weigh down the string and doesn’t interfere with the bubble making.
The 4 ft cord is tied in between the sticks at the top and the 8 ft cotton cord is tied to the top of each stick with the washer hanging in the middle of the cord. This helps keep the shape of the wand.
You need to soak the string in the bubble solution for about 1 minute. The solution needs to be inside the entire area of the triangle shape.
Slowly pull the strings out of the solution and keeping it the “V” formation, while walking back slowly.
Once the bubble starts to form, slowly shut the “V” to break loose the bubble.
This is Lisa is photobombing the picture of the bubble! Yes, she is one crazy kid and I love her!
