Grilled Asparagus
This is my favorite way to get good Grilled Asparagus. I love to grill and the season is among us finally!!
We are finally having warm enough weather to get the grill out and enjoy all the grilled foods! Grilling is a great healthy way to get all the foods cooked up. Asparagus is one of my most favorite vegetables so Matt made this for Mother’s day and I am here for it. Even though I seasoned it and everything. I’ll take the win!
Grilled Asparagus
Ingredients
- Bunch of Asparagus
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan
Grilled Asparagus
Directions
-
Preheat a grill to 400F.
-
Trim the tough ends off the asparagus–this could be ½” to 2″ depending on the size.
-
Roll out a large sheet of foil, followed by a slightly smaller piece of parchment paper.
-
Place the asparagus on top of the foil & parchment. Make sure the asparagus is not stacked to promote even cooking.
-
Drizzle with the oil, then sprinkle on the salt and garlic powder. Use your hands or a silicone brush to make sure the asparagus is evenly coated.
-
Cover with another sheet of parchment & foil and crimp the sides to create a sealed packet.
-
Place the packet on the grill and cook 6-8 minutes on each side until the asparagus is tender but still has a bit of crunch.
-
Remove from the grill and carefully open the packet.
-
Then place directly on the grill to get a little char on the veggies.
-
Finish with some lemon zest and grated parmesan & serve.

Gonna have to try this tonight with some extra lemon zest (because I’m a citrus fiend) and maybe a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a kick. Any tips for picking out the best asparagus at the market?
