Homemade Tractor Bed
The perfect bed for a little boy construction bedroom is a Homemade Tractor Bed.
It’s a good thing my husband is a good sport. When I told him that I wanted to do a construction theme bedroom for Grey and he was all over it.
I told him we should do a front loader bed and this is what he came up with and I could not have been more excited or happy. I can not wait to show you the rest of the room when it’s finished!
We made the front a bookshelf because Grey loves books and it holds all of his books plus some. I think it’s time to go shopping for some more.
The tires are made of wood and we smoothed down the edges of each piece to reduce the chance of Grey hitting his head and cutting it open.
Matt used PPG Break-through Ultra-durable water-bourne Acrylic Paint with a satin finish for the yellow paint. This was a paint they use for flooring and so it will be super durable. We used a flat black for the tires. We had an old dresser and we sanded it and painted it to match the bed.
Then we bought cast iron handles on Etsy and they came from Canada. They got here pretty fast! I’m so excited to show you the finished bedroom, so Stay Tuned!
