How To Clean A Hat
The other day I decided that my husband’s hats were filthy so I decided to clean them. (I forgot to take a before picture but that white one was pretty much brown!)
I knew I couldn’t just throw them in the wash, so I tried a few things and discovered that it’s actually pretty easy and hats clean off really well!
How To Clean A Hat
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Rag
Soap
Water
Old Toothbrush
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Get your rag soapy and wet. Gently rub the hat with it. You will be amazed at how quickly the dirt and sweat rubs off!
2. For tiny areas, like around the logos, use a toothbrush.
3. Rinse and set your hats out to dry. Roll up rags and put them inside to help the hats keep their shape.
**If the hat has an “authentic” sticker on it you can cover it with saran wrap and tape to keep it sticking to the hat.
I definitely shared this with my brother. I actually didn't know if people ever cleaned their hats! I just thought after it was dirty you just would have to get a new one! LOL. Thanks so much for joining us at the Creative Style linkup. So sorry I missed your linkup. I still wanted to stop by and show you some love. 🙂
I know! That's what I thought to but I figured cleaning it was worth a try. Come link up soon! We do one every week!
Great tip! Thank you so much for sharing at Tuesdays at Our home. Enjoy your day! Maria
