How to Clean Your Makeup Brushes

 

It’s that time again! I’ve heard you should clean your brushes once a week. I hate to admit that I don’t remember to do it that often, but this last weekend I could tell my brushes really needed it. I learned this little trick to get your brushes clean fast from a friend that’s a makeup artist, and it works like a charm. Plus, I’m sure you already have everything to do it in your house right now!  

 

See, they were yucky! Covered in makeup. 

 

 

Get a small cup and fill it with an inch of hot water and a few squirts of Dawn dish soap. Don’t fill it too high. You only want to soak the ends. If you soak the whole brush it could loosen the glue holding the fibers together. 

 

 

 

Let them soak for a minute, rinse and repeat until the water is clear! 

Let the brushes dry overnight on a clean paper towel!
