Kid Friendly Spaghetti Squash Pizza
Don’t you just love it when you find a recipe that your kids LOVE, and it’s easy, AND healthy? My kids absolutely LOVE spaghetti squash. Gracie ate 3 bowls before I was even done making dinner, and she asked for more.
I like to use Spaghetti squash as a low-carb alternative to noodles in any recipe. It’s also great with a little olive oil and Italian seasoning. Yummy.

Here’s how you start the recipe.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Slice your Spaghetti Squash in half, lengthwise.
Scoop out all the seeds and guts. Place squash cut side down on a cookie sheet and bake for about 45 minutes, or until the flesh of the squash gives when you push on it.
Allow the squash to cool, then use a fork to scrape the flesh out. It’s stringy, just like spaghetti!
Max was the one who thought of this meal, and he is always asking me if he can help with the blog, so I told him he could demonstrate his recipe for our Lou Lou Girls readers! It’s so simple. As you can see, my 7-year-old can do it!
Start with plain spaghetti squash pressed into your bowl, add spaghetti sauce, pepperoni, and cheese, and microwave until cheese is bubbling. About 40 seconds did it for us.
If you don’t like to use the microwave, you can put yours in a glass dish and bake at 375 degrees until cheese is bubbling. About 15 minutes. It’s delicious and you don’t have to feel guilty about eating pizza!
I put the calories into My fitness pal and it was only 200 calories for the whole meal! Plus it’s loaded with healthy veggies!

I have never had spaghetti pie, but I love spaghetti. This would be a fun twist to a favorite dinner here at our house!
This is such a yummy idea! My kiddos aren't huge squash fans, which is funny because they love their veggies. I'd love to make this for them, though and see how it goes over. It sounds pretty delicious for me too – it'd feel like a "cheat" meal! I'd love for you to link this up with us at {Healthy} Tips and Tricks Tuesday – we a always love a good veggie dish! Thanks!
