First: Gift Cards! I used to feel guilty giving gift cards, but now I think it’s smart. Then they can go buy what they want. You can give a Visa gift card, which is just like giving them cash. They can go and use it at any store that accepts Visa.
You can find out their favorite restaurant and give them a gift card to there. Which is super nice. My husband never wants to spend money going out to eat, but if we have a gift card he’s okay with it!
Does your person like to build things?! My husband does and we are building a new house. Home Depot gift cards are the things dreams are made of.
Now for experience ideas! Sometimes the best gifts are the things that we can go do things we normally don’t make time for.

I use to be so anti gift cards. Just felt like the lazy way out of dealing with shopping. But as the years went by, I can finally appreciate them and give them frequently.
I am a firm believer in gift cards! I usually prefer to get them because I can then choose what I want from a store, etc. instead of having someone risk finding something that suits my tastes. I think most people prefer that as well.
You can never go wrong with a gift card! I know a lot of people say it’s inpersonal, but for me I see it as a way to get whatever I want!
My sister just moved in with my mom and I have been struggling as to what to get her. I think the Visa card might be the perfect solution.
