Mother’s day is coming up, and it has us Lou Lou Girls thinking about motherhood. What makes it special? What makes it hard? Here are our 4 different points of view. 

I’m Jessica, I’m the oldest sister of the Lou Lou Girls. I have 4 kids, and they’re all super adorable, as I’m sure you’d guess. Here they are enjoying their Sunday morning pancakes…

They were all lined up in a row, so I couldn’t resist…

There are so many moments that make my heart swell as a mother. It’s just such a tender time. They’re learning and growing SO fast and some days I just want time to stand still.

Then there are moments when my youngest is biting and pinching everyone in the room and I have no idea how to get her to stop, then I would like her to grow up and out of this phase because, frankly, it hurts and it’s frustrating. 

It’s so weird how my emotions can just flop back and forth like that in an instant throughout the day. One moment I’m exhausted and ready for it to be bed time, and the next I’m sneaking into my baby’s room, trying not to wake her, but wanting to watch her sleep. 

It’s a freaking rollercoaster of emotions every day. I love it. 

Then there’s the mountain of laundry… I hate laundry, no way to sugar coat that. 

There are also sweet moments like this! 

Motherhood definitely isn’t easy, and I’m sure it’s not for everyone, but I wouldn’t trade it. I’m grateful I get to experience it and I just pray that I’m taking the time to soak in the cute little squishy arms and snuggles and giggles as much as I should, because I know they won’t be little forever!
