Neapolitan Marshmallow Treats
Neapolitan Marshmallow Treats! I’m getting so excited for Easter! I love the pastel colors and all the goodies that come with them. These Neapolitan Marshmallow Treats would be a great addition to your Easter parties or even a birthday party!
Layers of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry create the cutest dessert ever and super easy to make!
Neapolitan Marshmallow Treats
Ingredients
6 Tablespoons butter
3 10 ounce packages of mini marshmallows
3 7 ounce jars marshmallow creme
1 teaspoon vanilla
10 cups Rice Krispie Cereal
1/2 cup chocolate chips
5 cups chocolate flavor Rice Krispie Cereal
2 Tablespoons strawberry jam
4 to 6 drops of food coloring
Directions
Line a 13 x 9-inch cake pan with foil, extending the foil edges over the sides. Spray with cooking spray.
Vanilla Layer: In a Dutch oven, melt 2 Tablespoons butter over low heat. Add a bag of mini marshmallows. Cook and stir constantly until melted. Stir in 1 jar of marshmallow creme and the vanilla, until it’s smooth. Remove from heat. Gently stir in 5 cups of the plain cereal. Transfer to prepared pan; butter your clean fingers and press firmly onto the cereal layer.
Chocolate Layer: Clean out your Dutch oven and then melt 2 Tablespoons of butter over low heat. Add a bag of mini marshmallows; cook and stir until melted. Stir in a jar of marshmallow creme and chocolate chips. Stir until the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat. Gently stir in the chocolate cereal. Spoon onto the vanilla layer; press firmly with your clean, buttered fingers.
Strawberry Layer: Clean out your Dutch oven and then melt 2 Tablespoons of butter over low heat. Add the last bag of mini marshmallows, cook and stir until melted. Stir in a jar of marshmallow creme, food coloring, and strawberry jam. Stir until the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat. Gently stir in 5 cups of plain cereal. Spoon onto the chocolate layer; press firmly with your clean, buttered fingers.
Place something heavy on top of your creation so it will press your layers together. Let stand for at least 1 hour. Using the foil liner, lift treats out of the pan. Using a buttered knife, cut into bars.
