Pink and Gold 1st Birthday Party!
Come see some ideas for a fun Pink and Gold 1st Birthday Party!
I’m not sure how it happened so fast, but my baby is already 1. She’s not walking yet, but she’s full of personality now and we can’t imagine life without her!
When I started planning her birthday, I knew I wanted to do a Pink and Gold 1st Birthday party with a cake smash photoshoot, and I knew I’d be at my parent’s house so I wanted something simple and easy to do. I bought a pink plastic table cloth, cute balloons, gold tassel banner, and of course this Pink and Gold outfit from Amazon, along with these adorable gold shoes.
I tried to find the best lighting in the house, which was a little hard because we had to wait until our guests came for the party before we dug into the cake. But, I think they turned out great for an amateur and it’s something anyone could easily do!
The cake is a simple cake from a box and we just used a large star tip to pipe the rosettes on. Just decide where you want your roses, start in the center of the rose, and circle the frosting out until it’s the size you want.
We did an ombre cake. I started by separating the frosting into 3 bowls and colored them to the shade I wanted. Then filled my bag.
Ivie seemed to like the cake, but never really smashed it.
She unwrapped her presents with A LOT of help, but I was loving her surprised expression. She’s always doing this surprised look lately. It’s so funny!
I used my mom’s chalk markers to write up a little info about our Little sweetie and then tried to get her to smile while she was standing by it. It was harder and took longer than I thought it would. She was in a mood….
She was very happy with the bike grandma Kim got her and she especially loved all the balloons!
I got a little carried away with the pictures, but most moms do…

Loved looking at your pictures. I could almost taste that cake! What a fun 1st birthday party. All of my kids’ first birthday parties seem so long ago. 😉
Thanks Brandi Raae! They grow up so fast, don’t they?!
What a sweet party! We have used pink and gold in my daughter’s nursery. Still pondering what first birthday theme we will choose. Thanks for the ideas.
Thanks Miranda. Pink and Gold are super easy to find right now, so that’s why I chose it!
I love the roses on this cake! The baby is definitely into it. Thanks for sharing at Funtastic Friday.
Thanks Sherry!
So beautiful!!!
