Pull-A-Part Cinnamon Roll Bread
Pull-A-Part Cinnamon Roll Bread is the perfect cinnamon roll alternative for those of us who can not roll a proper cinnamon roll.
The boys love cinnamon rolls, praise the heavens, because I do too! In the mornings it’s hard to get Sawyer to eat anything except a granola bar. Breakfast can be a battle, since typically I have never really been a breakfast person and then I became a mom and I knew my kids needed the breakfast.
Cinnamon rolls may not be the most healthy breakfast but it’s one that I love, and so do the boys. I love this recipe because it’s easy and it doesn’t need to be perfect to still look and taste delicious!

Pull-A-Part Cinnamon Roll Bread
Directions
- In a mixing bowl, combine yeast, warm water, and 1 Tbsp. sugar. Let the yeast get bubbly.
- Place milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Allow cooling slightly.
- Melt the butter in the microwave and set aside.
- Add the sugar, honey, milk, and 3 1/2 c. flour to the yeast mixture. Beat together for two minutes.
- Add butter, eggs, and salt. Stir well.
- Add the rest of the flour a half a cup at a time until the dough begins to separate from the sides of the bowl. Let it rest for 3-5 minutes.
- Knead the dough in the bowl for 5 minutes. If the dough seems sticky to you add a tablespoon of flour at a time until it reaches a good consistency.
- Remove dough from the bowl and grease the inside of the bowl.
- Place the dough back in the bowl and flip it around till the entire outside is nice and shiny with the oil.
- Loosely cover the bowl with plastic wrap and allow the dough to double in size, which takes a little over an hour and sometimes longer in my cold house.
- While waiting mix together 1 cup of brown sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Also, grease a bread pan.
- Once the dough has doubled, smash it down with your fists for about a minute.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out flat using a rolling pin, to about 1/4″. Then brush on the softened butter and spread on the brown sugar/cinnamon mixture.
- Then cut into squares 12 pretty even squares and stack them dough to cinnamon, until the last one an put the dough against the pan. Then cover with plastic and put in the fridge over night.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. While the oven preheats pull the pan out of the fridge and bring it to room temp.
- Then bake for 40 to 50 minutes until brown on top.
- While it bakes make the frosting by putting softened butter, softened cream cheese, powdered sugar and whipping cream in a bowl. Whip until smooth.
- Pull out the bread, let cool for about 15 to 20 minutes and then pull out and top with frosting. Enjoy!
