Sleeping during pregnancy can be rough especially as you make it further into pregnancy, which can be exhausting. You are already tired from growing a baby and your daily life. You need to get as much sleep at night as you can, so that you will feel better during the day.
Drink Plenty of Water – Drink during the day and slow down at night to help you not need to wake up in the middle of the night.
Exercise – Exercise honestly sounds awful right now, but after I do it I feel so much better! It’s important to help getting blood flow to your legs will help reduce leg cramps and other cramps at night.
Make a Routine – Start a new bedtime routine and do the same thing every night. Whether it’s bathing and going to bed early or trying an herbal tea, do what works for you and go with it.
Pillows – Lots of pillows, I used them to prop up all the things that feel uncomfortable. The big body pillow aren’t my favorite but again do what works for you! I like having a couple different pillows.
Prevent Heartburn – Don’t eat too close to bedtime. Keep your head elevated at night and avoid foods that you know give you heartburn.
Turn Down the Thermostat – Cool air will help you sleep better. When you are pregnant you will run hot. If you have a partner who likes to cuddle it’s twice as bad. Turn down the temp and it will help you feel better.
