Slow Cooker Chicken Tacos
Slow Cooker Chicken Tacos are an easy dinner idea that the whole family will love! You’ll need just 6 ingredients for this flavorful shredded chicken. It’s the perfect filling for tacos or burrito bowls!
I guess I have been on a Mexican kick lately! My family loves tacos and I love my slow cooker. It doesn’t matter what time a year, it makes life so much easier to feed your family.
The great thing about this recipe is that you can make tacos, salads, or nachos. So whatever makes your family drool, it will work and it’s super easy!
Slow Cooker Chicken Tacos
Ingredients:
1 envelope Taco Seasoning
6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thawed
1 16 ounces jar salsa
1/2 onion, chopped
1 can black beans, drained
1 juice of a lime
Directions:
- Pour all the ingredients into a slow cooker and give it a stir to mix all the seasoning with the salsa.
- Cook on high for 3 to 5 hours on high and 5 to 7 hours on low. You want to check the meat every once in a while because chicken can get overcooked in the slow cooker.
- When it’s done, the chicken should shred easily and be ready for the tacos!
- Now all you need is the shells and the toppings!
I love it when a recipe is so easy and so delicious at the same time! Enjoy!
